Indication

Treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults when diet, physical exercise, and weight reduction alone are not sufficient to control blood glucose.

Ingredients

• Gliclazide 30 mg (modified release)

Direction

Take 1 to 4 tablets once daily at breakfast. Swallow whole; do not crush or chew. Dose adjusted by physician based on blood glucose levels.

Side effects

• Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar)
• Gastrointestinal disturbances (nausea
• vomiting
• diarrhea)
• Skin rash or itching (rare)

Precautions

• Monitor blood glucose regularly
• Risk of hypoglycemia

• Contraindicated in type 1 diabetes
