Indication
Clamoxyl 250mg is a broad-spectrum penicillin antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections including respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and otitis media caused by susceptible organisms.
Ingredients
- Amoxicillin (as trihydrate) 250 mg
Direction
Adults: 1 to 2 sachets (250β500 mg) three times daily. Children: dose according to body weight as directed by physician. Each sachet should be dissolved in water before use. Complete the full course of treatment as prescribed.
Side effects
- Nausea
- vomiting
- diarrhea
- Skin rash or urticaria
- Hypersensitivity reactions including anaphylaxis (rare)
- Pseudomembranous colitis with prolonged use
Precautions
- Do not use if allergic to penicillin or cephalosporin antibiotics
- Inform your doctor of any known drug allergies before use
- Use with caution in patients with renal impairment
- Keep out of reach of children
- Complete the prescribed course
- do not stop early even if symptoms improve
