Indication
Treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults when diet, physical exercise, and weight reduction alone are not sufficient to control blood glucose.
Ingredients
- Gliclazide 60 mg (scored modified release)
Direction
Take 1 to 2 tablets once daily at breakfast. Scored tablets may be halved but not chewed. Dose adjusted by physician.
Side effects
- Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar)
- Gastrointestinal disturbances
- Skin rash (rare)
Precautions
- Monitor blood glucose regularly
- Risk of hypoglycemia
- avoid skipping meals
- Contraindicated in type 1 diabetes
- severe renal or hepatic impairment
- Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Keep out of reach of children
