Cloderm Ointment 0.05% 0.05% w/w

Indication

Cloderm Ointment 0.05% is a potent corticosteroid used for the short-term treatment of severe and resistant inflammatory and pruritic conditions of the skin that are responsive to corticosteroid therapy, including psoriasis, eczema, contact dermatitis, and other corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses.

Ingredients

• Clobetasol Propionate 0.05% w/w

Direction

Apply a thin layer to the affected area once or twice daily. Gently rub in until absorbed. Do not use for more than 4 weeks without medical supervision. Avoid use on face, groin, and axillae.

Side effects

• Skin thinning (atrophy) with prolonged use
• Striae
• telangiectasia
• Burning

• or irritation at application site
• Adrenal suppression with extensive or prolonged use
• Systemic effects possible if large areas treated

Precautions

• Controlled medicine — use under medical supervision
• Do not use on infected skin without appropriate antimicrobial treatment
• Avoid contact with eyes
• Do not use on face
• axillae
• or groin unless directed by physician
• Not recommended for use in children under 1 year old
• Avoid in pregnancy unless clearly indicated by physician
• Keep out of reach of children
