Indication

Treatment of bacterial infections including respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin infections, sexually transmitted diseases (chlamydia, gonorrhea), Lyme disease, malaria prophylaxis, and other susceptible bacterial infections.

Ingredients

• Doxycycline (as hyclate) 100 mg

Direction

Adults: 1 capsule twice daily or 2 capsules once daily. Take with or after food with plenty of water. Avoid lying down for 30 minutes after taking. Complete the full prescribed course.

Side effects

• Nausea and vomiting
• Photosensitivity (increased sensitivity to sunlight)
• Esophageal irritation if not taken with enough water
• Diarrhea
• Skin rash

Precautions

• Avoid prolonged sun exposure during treatment
• Not recommended in children under 8 years due to tooth discoloration
• Contraindicated in pregnancy and breastfeeding
• Take with plenty of water
• remain upright for 30 minutes after dose
• Keep out of reach of children
