Indication
Treatment of edema associated with heart failure, liver cirrhosis, and renal disease. Also used in the treatment of hypertension.
Ingredients
- Furosemide 40 mg
Direction
Take orally as directed by physician. Tablets are scored and can be divided. Take as prescribed by your doctor. Prescription only medicine.
Side effects
- Electrolyte imbalance (hypokalemia
- hyponatremia)
- Dehydration
- Dizziness and lightheadedness
- Muscle cramps
- Increased urination
- Tinnitus at high doses
Precautions
- Prescription only medicine
- List II
- Monitor electrolytes and kidney function regularly
- Use with caution in patients with hepatic impairment
- May cause photosensitivity
- Keep out of reach of children
- Consult physician before use if pregnant or breastfeeding
