Indication
Itratop 200 is an antifungal medicine used to treat a wide range of fungal infections including oral and vaginal candidiasis, dermatophytosis, tinea versicolor, onychomycosis (nail fungal infection), systemic fungal infections such as aspergillosis, histoplasmosis, and cryptococcosis.
Ingredients
- Itraconazole 200 mg
Direction
Take as directed by a physician. Swallow capsule whole after a full meal. Dosage for systemic infections is typically higher than for superficial infections. Do not store above 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
Side effects
- Nausea
- vomiting
- or abdominal discomfort
- Headache
- Liver enzyme elevation (rare — monitor with long
- term use)
- Peripheral edema
- Skin rash
Precautions
- Do not use in patients with known hypersensitivity to itraconazole
- Caution: Terfenadine or Astemizole should not be taken simultaneously when on this medication
- Use with caution in patients with hepatic impairment
- Do not use during the first trimester of pregnancy
- Keep out of reach of children
- Do not store above 30°C
