Indication
Treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus, particularly in overweight patients, when diet and exercise alone are insufficient. Also used as first-line treatment in combination with other antidiabetic agents.
Ingredients
- Metformin hydrochloride 500 mg
Direction
Take orally as directed by physician. Oral use. Contains lactose. Please read instructions for use carefully. Dosage according to physician advice. Store below 30Β°C.
Side effects
- Nausea and vomiting (especially when starting treatment)
- Diarrhea
- Abdominal pain
- Loss of appetite
- Metallic taste
- Rare: lactic acidosis
Precautions
- Prescription only medicine
- Contraindicated in renal impairment (eGFR <30 mL/min)
- Contains lactose
- Store in original packaging to protect from light
- Do not use after expiry date
- Keep out of sight and reach of children
