Indication
Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) and chronic stable angina pectoris. Also used in vasospastic angina. Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker.
Ingredients
- Amlodipine besylate equivalent to Amlodipine 5 mg
Direction
As directed by physician. Usually 1 tablet once daily. Take at the same time each day. May be taken with or without food.
Side effects
- Peripheral oedema (ankle swelling)
- Flushing
- Headache
- Dizziness
- Palpitations
- Fatigue
Precautions
- Prescription only medicine
- Do not stop taking without medical advice
- Use with caution in liver impairment
- May cause hypotension — monitor blood pressure
- Keep out of reach of children
