Indication
- Allergic conditions (allergic rhinitis, urticaria, itching) - Relief of allergic skin reactions - Nausea and vomiting - Short-term sedation where appropriate
Ingredients
- Promethazine hydrochloride 5 mg/5 ml
Direction
Take by mouth as directed by a physician, dose adjusted by age and weight. Do not give to children under 2 years of age.
Side effects
- Drowsiness and sedation
- Dry mouth
- Dizziness
- Blurred vision
- Constipation
Precautions
- Contraindicated in children under 2 years (risk of fatal respiratory depression)
- Causes drowsiness
- avoid driving or operating machinery
- Avoid alcohol and other CNS depressants
- Use with caution in asthma
- glaucoma or urinary retention
