Indication
- Relief of bronchospasm in asthma - Relief of bronchospasm in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) - Prevention of exercise-induced bronchospasm
Ingredients
- Salbutamol (albuterol) 100 mcg per actuation
Direction
For symptom relief, inhale 1-2 puffs (100-200 mcg) as needed. Do not exceed the dose advised by your doctor.
Side effects
- Tremor (shaking)
- especially of the hands
- Fast heartbeat or palpitations
- Headache
- Muscle cramps
- Nervousness
Precautions
- Tell your doctor about heart disease
- high blood pressure or overactive thyroid
- Increasing need for the inhaler may mean worsening asthma — seek review
- Use with caution in diabetes (may raise blood sugar)
- May lower blood potassium at high doses
