Indication
- Reduces fever in infants and children - Relief of mild to moderate pain - Eases discomfort from teething, colds or after vaccination
Ingredients
- Paracetamol (acetaminophen) 120 mg/5 mL
Direction
Give 10-15 mg/kg per dose every 4-6 hours as needed, based on the child's weight and age. Do not exceed 4 doses in 24 hours. Shake well before use.
Side effects
- Generally well tolerated at recommended doses
- Rarely
- skin rash or allergic reaction
- Liver damage with overdose
Precautions
- Do not exceed the recommended dose
- overdose can cause serious liver damage
- Avoid giving other medicines that also contain paracetamol
- Use with caution in liver disease
- See a doctor if fever lasts more than 3 days
