Indication

- Prevention of nausea and vomiting from chemotherapy - Prevention of nausea and vomiting from radiotherapy - Prevention of post-operative nausea and vomiting

Ingredients

• Ondansetron 4 mg/5 mL

Direction

Dose depends on indication, age and weight; commonly 4-8 mg given before chemotherapy or surgery and repeated as advised. Use exactly as directed by your doctor.

Side effects

• Headache
• Constipation
• Flushing or feeling warm
• Rarely
• changes in heart rhythm

Precautions

• Tell your doctor about heart rhythm problems (QT prolongation) or low potassium/magnesium
• Use with caution in liver disease (reduce dose)
• Avoid with apomorphine
• May cause constipation
