Sirmox-250 Oral Suspension 250mg/5ml

Indication

- Treatment of bacterial infections of the ear, nose and throat - Respiratory tract infections such as bronchitis and pneumonia - Urinary tract infections - Skin and soft tissue infections

Ingredients

• Amoxicillin 250 mg/5 mL

Direction

Usually given by weight in children (e.g. 20-40 mg/kg/day in divided doses) every 8-12 hours. Complete the full course. Shake well before use.

Side effects

• Diarrhea
• Nausea or vomiting
• Skin rash
• Thrush (oral or vaginal)
• Rarely
• serious allergic reactions

Precautions

• Do not use if allergic to penicillins
• Tell your doctor about kidney problems or a history of allergy
• Stop and seek help if a rash or breathing difficulty develops
• May reduce effectiveness of oral contraceptives
