Starcef Cefixime Dry Syrup 100mg 100mg/5ml

Indication

- Susceptible bacterial infections of the respiratory tract (bronchitis, pharyngitis, tonsillitis) - Otitis media - Urinary tract infections - Other infections caused by susceptible organisms

Ingredients

• Cefixime 100 mg/5 mL

Direction

Reconstitute with water to the marked level before use and shake. Usual dose for children is determined by body weight and age; take as prescribed by a physician, typically twice daily.

Side effects

• Diarrhoea and abdominal pain
• Nausea
• Rash or allergic reactions
• Headache

Precautions

• Avoid in patients with known allergy to cephalosporins or penicillins
• Use with caution in renal impairment
• Prolonged use may cause superinfection or antibiotic
