Indication
Anticold Toux is a combination cold and cough remedy. It is indicated for symptomatic relief of the common cold, nasal congestion (décongestion), productive cough (expectorant and mucolytic action), cough with bronchospasm, and associated fever and aches.
Ingredients
- Bromhexine Hydrochloride 8 mg
- Chlorpheniramine Maleate 3.2 mg
- Guaifenesin 100 mg
- Paracetamol 500 mg
- Phenylpropanolamine Hydrochloride 25 mg
Direction
Oral use. Adults: one capsule, three times daily after meals, or as directed by a physician. Do not exceed the recommended dose. Read the enclosed leaflet carefully before use.
Side effects
- Drowsiness and sedation
- Dry mouth
- Dizziness
- Gastrointestinal upset
- nausea
- Increased blood pressure
- palpitations
- Urinary retention
- Rarely
- skin rash or hypersensitivity reactions
Precautions
- Contraindicated in patients hypersensitive to any component
- Contraindicated in severe hypertension
- severe coronary artery disease and with MAO inhibitors
- Use with caution in patients with hypertension
- cardiovascular disease
- hyperthyroidism
- diabetes
- glaucoma or prostatic hypertrophy
- Use with caution in patients with hepatic or renal impairment
- Avoid alcohol and do not drive or operate machinery due to possible drowsiness
- Do not exceed the recommended dose to avoid paracetamol
- related liver toxicity
- Consult a doctor if symptoms persist for more than a few days
- Keep out of reach of children
