Indication
Axprazol 0.5 is indicated for the short-term management of anxiety disorders and for the relief of the symptoms of anxiety. It is also used in the treatment of panic disorder, with or without agoraphobia. It should be prescribed only by a doctor as alprazolam is a controlled psychotropic medicine and should not be used for the anxiety or tension associated with the stress of everyday life.
Ingredients
- Alprazolam 0.5 mg
Direction
Take orally as directed by a physician. Usual adult starting dose for anxiety: 0.25 to 0.5 mg three times daily, adjusted according to response, up to a maximum of 4 mg daily in divided doses. For panic disorder higher doses may be required under specialist supervision. In elderly or debilitated patients start at 0.25 mg two or three times daily. Do not stop abruptly after prolonged use; dose should be tapered gradually under medical supervision. Avoid alcohol during treatment.

Precautions
- Controlled medicine
- must be dispensed only with a valid doctor's prescription (HARUS DENGAN RESEP DOKTER)
- Not for use in pregnancy
- especially the first trimester
- or during breastfeeding
- Avoid in patients with severe respiratory insufficiency
- sleep apnoea syndrome
- severe hepatic impairment
- or acute narrow
- angle glaucoma
- Use with caution in elderly
- debilitated patients and those with renal or hepatic impairment
- Avoid concurrent alcohol
- other CNS depressants and potent CYP3A4 inhibitors (e.g. ketoconazole
- itraconazole
- ritonavir)
- Impairs ability to drive or operate machinery
- Risk of dependence increases with dose and duration
- use for the shortest period possible
- Do not discontinue abruptly
- taper gradually
- Keep out of reach of children
