Indication
Medical termination of early intrauterine pregnancy.
Ingredients
- Mifepristone 200 mg (1 tablet)
- Misoprostol 200 mcg (4 tablets)
Direction
Take as directed by a registered medical practitioner. Typically 1 Mifepristone tablet followed by 4 Misoprostol tablets 24-48 hours later.
Side effects
- Vaginal bleeding
- spotting
- or cramping.
- Nausea
- vomiting
- diarrhoea (particularly with misoprostol component).
- Abdominal pain.
- Dizziness
- headache.
- Fever or chills (especially with misoprostol).
- Incomplete expulsion requiring surgical intervention.
- Heavy or prolonged uterine bleeding.
- Infection (rare but serious).
Precautions
- For use under medical supervision only.
- Contraindicated in ectopic pregnancy
- chronic adrenal failure
- and porphyrias.
- Keep out of reach of children.
