Pediacetamol 100 mg / ml

Indication

Paracetamol oral solution is used for the relief of mild to moderate pain and to reduce fever in infants and children.

Direction

Children: 10–15 mg/kg every 4–6 hours as needed; do not exceed 5 doses in 24 hours. Typical dose by age: infants 3–12 months 60–120 mg per dose; children 1–5 years 120–250 mg per dose; children 6–12 years 250–500 mg per dose. Always use the provided measuring device.

Side effects

• Rare: allergic reactions (rash
• urticaria
• angioedema).
• Very rare: serious skin reactions (Stevens
• Johnson syndrome
• toxic epidermal necrolysis).
• Liver toxicity with overdose.
• Blood dyscrasias (thrombocytopenia
• agranulocytosis) — very rare.

Precautions

• Do not exceed the recommended dose
• paracetamol overdose causes severe liver damage.
• Do not use in combination with other paracetamol
• containing products.
• Use with caution in children with liver disease or malnutrition.
• Consult a doctor if fever persists more than 3 days or pain more than 5 days.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Seek immediate medical attention in case of overdose.
