Indication
Vaginal tablets for local treatment of vaginitis caused by susceptible organisms (mixed bacterial, fungal, and trichomonal infections).
Ingredients
- Ternidazole 200 mg
- Neomycin sulfate 100 mg
- Nystatin 100000 IU
- Prednisolone 3 mg
Direction
Insert one vaginal tablet intravaginally as directed by a physician. Moisten the tablet briefly before insertion.
Side effects
- Local vaginal irritation
- burning
- or discharge.
- Vaginal itching or redness.
- Nausea
- headache (systemic ternidazole).
- Allergic reactions (rash
- urticaria) — rare.
- Candidal overgrowth (if neomycin disrupts normal flora).
- Systemic neomycin absorption may cause nephrotoxicity or ototoxicity with extensive use (rare).
- Avoid use during first trimester of pregnancy.
Precautions
- Read carefully the leaflet before use. Do not swallow. Strictly follow the prescribed doses. On medical prescription only.
