Tergynan Ternidazole 200 mg / Neomycin sulfate 100 mg (65000 IU) / Nystatin 100,000 IU / Prednisolone 3 mg per vaginal tablet

Indication

Vaginal tablets for local treatment of vaginitis caused by susceptible organisms (mixed bacterial, fungal, and trichomonal infections).

Ingredients

• Ternidazole 200 mg
• Neomycin sulfate 100 mg
• Nystatin 100000 IU
• Prednisolone 3 mg

Direction

Insert one vaginal tablet intravaginally as directed by a physician. Moisten the tablet briefly before insertion.

Side effects

• Local vaginal irritation
• burning
• or discharge.
• Vaginal itching or redness.
• Nausea
• headache (systemic ternidazole).
• Allergic reactions (rash
• urticaria) — rare.
• Candidal overgrowth (if neomycin disrupts normal flora).
• Systemic neomycin absorption may cause nephrotoxicity or ototoxicity with extensive use (rare).
• Avoid use during first trimester of pregnancy.
