Indication
Treatment of hyperuricemia and its clinical complications (gout, uric acid nephropathy)
Ingredients
- Allopurinol
Direction
Swallow the tablets whole with a large glass of water after meals
Side effects
- Skin rash — discontinue immediately if rash develops (may indicate hypersensitivity)
- Nausea
- vomiting
- diarrhea
- abdominal pain
- Headache
- dizziness
- drowsiness
- Elevated liver enzymes
- hepatotoxicity (rare)
- Blood disorders: agranulocytosis
- aplastic anaemia (rare)
- Peripheral neuropathy (rare
- with prolonged use)
