Indication

Broad-spectrum anthelmintic chewable tablet for treatment of intestinal worm infections. Strawberry flavour. Use as directed by the physician.

Direction

Adults and children over 15 kg: 1 tablet (Albendazole 400 mg + Ivermectin 6 mg) as a single dose taken with food (fatty meal enhances albendazole absorption). Dose and duration may vary for specific indications; follow prescriber instructions.

Side effects

• Gastrointestinal: nausea
• vomiting
• abdominal pain (common).
• Headache
• dizziness.
• Elevated liver enzymes.
• Mazzotti reaction (ivermectin): fever
• rash
• oedema
• arthralgia
• pruritus in patients with microfilarial infection.
• Rare: bone marrow suppression (albendazole).
• Rare: neurological effects (dizziness
• somnolence).

Precautions

• Contraindicated in known hypersensitivity to albendazole
• ivermectin
• or benzimidazoles.
• Contraindicated in pregnancy (albendazole is teratogenic)
• ensure effective contraception.
• Contraindicated in children under 5 years or weighing less than 15 kg for ivermectin.
• Use with caution in hepatic impairment
