Rovista 10 mg

Indication

Rovista (rosuvastatin) is indicated as an adjunct to diet for the treatment of primary hypercholesterolaemia and mixed dyslipidaemia to reduce elevated total cholesterol, LDL-cholesterol, apolipoprotein B, and triglycerides, and to increase HDL-cholesterol. It is also used to slow progression of atherosclerosis and to reduce the risk of major cardiovascular events in patients at increased cardiovascular risk.

Side effects

• Headache
• Myalgia (muscle pain)
• Nausea and abdominal pain
• Constipation
• Asthenia or weakness
• Elevated liver enzymes

Precautions

• Use with caution in patients with hepatic impairment or heavy alcohol use
• Report unexplained muscle pain
