Indication
Protein deficiency, impaired protein digestion and absorption, malfunctional protein synthesis and utilization.

Direction
Administer intravenously slowly. Suggestive daily dose is 500 mL. Dose may be adjusted according to symptoms and age.
Side effects
- Nausea or vomiting during IV infusion.
- Phlebitis or irritation at the injection site.
- Hyperammonaemia with prolonged use or hepatic impairment.
- Electrolyte imbalances (sodium
- potassium) depending on concurrent fluid management.
- Allergic reactions are rare.
