Indication

Treatment of bacterial infections including respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, meningitis, and septicemia

Ingredients

• Sterile Ceftriaxone Sodium USP eq. to Ceftriaxone 1 g

Direction

As directed by physician. For I.V.: dissolve contents in 10 ml of Sterile Water for Injections. For I.M.: dissolve contents in 3.5 ml of suitable solvent. Use immediately after reconstitution.

Side effects

• Allergic reactions including skin rash
• urticaria
• and anaphylaxis.
• Diarrhea
• nausea
• and vomiting.
• Pain or inflammation at the injection site.
• Headache and dizziness.
• Elevated liver enzyme levels (transaminases).
• Thrombocytosis or eosinophilia.
• Rarely
• pseudomembranous colitis.
