Indication

Dexpanthenol (provitamin B5) cream/ointment is used for the treatment and prevention of dry, rough, and scaling skin conditions; minor skin irritations; superficial wounds; nappy rash; and to promote healing of skin abrasions, minor burns, and sunburns.

Ingredients

• Dexpanthenol

Direction

Apply a thin layer to the affected area 1–3 times daily, or as directed. Gently massage into the skin. For nappy rash, apply at each nappy change. Use until the skin has healed.

Side effects

• Rare: skin irritation
• contact dermatitis
• or allergic reactions at application site.
• Generally very well tolerated.

Precautions

• For external use only.
• Avoid contact with eyes.
• Do not apply to deep wounds
• infected areas
• or seriously damaged skin without medical advice.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Stop use and consult a doctor if skin condition worsens or does not improve after 7 days.
