Indication

Catch-Cold Medico is a multi-ingredient preparation used for the symptomatic relief of common cold and influenza symptoms including fever, headache, nasal congestion, runny nose, cough, and sore throat.

Ingredients

• Acetaminophen
• Chlorpheniramine Maleate
• DL
• Methylephedrine Hydrochloride
• Guaifenesin
• Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide
• Anhydrous Caffeine
• Thiamine Nitrate
• Riboflavin
• Glycyrrhiza extract
• Platycodon fluid extract

Direction

Adults and children 15 years and over: 1–2 tablets 3 times daily after meals. Children under 15: use only under medical supervision. Do not exceed the stated dose.

Side effects

• Drowsiness and sedation (chlorpheniramine).
• Dry mouth
• urinary retention
• constipation (anticholinergic effects).
• Gastrointestinal upset.
• Elevated blood pressure or palpitations (methylephedrine).
• Liver toxicity with paracetamol overdose.

Precautions

• Do not use with other paracetamol
• containing products — risk of overdose and hepatotoxicity.
• Avoid in patients with liver disease or alcohol dependence.
• Chlorpheniramine may cause drowsiness — do not drive or operate machinery.
• Methylephedrine: use with caution in hypertension
• cardiovascular disease
• hyperthyroidism
• and diabetes.
• Dextromethorphan: avoid in patients on MAO inhibitors — risk of serotonin syndrome.
• Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding without medical advice.
• Avoid alcohol.
• Keep out of reach of children.
