Indication
Ciprolar-FC cream is a triple combination topical preparation used for the treatment of dermatoses complicated by or susceptible to mixed bacterial (ciprofloxacin) and fungal (clotrimazole) infections with significant inflammation (fluocinolone acetonide), such as infected eczema, dermatitis with secondary infection, and seborrhoeic dermatitis with bacterial and fungal overlay.
Ingredients
- Ciprofloxacin
- Fluocinolone Acetonide
- Clotrimazole
Direction
Adults: Apply a thin layer to the affected skin area 2–3 times daily. Rub in gently. Duration should be limited to the minimum effective period, typically not more than 2 weeks without reassessment.
Side effects
- Skin irritation
- burning
- or itching at application site.
- Skin atrophy and striae with prolonged use.
- Contact sensitisation.
- Hypopigmentation.
Precautions
- For external use only.
- Do not use on the face
- groin
- or axillae for prolonged periods.
- Contraindicated in primary fungal infections not covered by clotrimazole
- or viral/tuberculous skin conditions.
- Prolonged corticosteroid use may cause skin atrophy
- striae
- and telangiectasia.
- Fluoroquinolone resistance may develop with prolonged topical use.
- Avoid use near eyes.
- Not recommended in neonates or children without specialist supervision.
- Keep out of reach of children.
