Pacetamol 300mg/2mL + 20mg/2mL

Indication

Pacetamol Injection (Paracetamol 300 mg + Lidocaine HCl 20 mg per 2 mL) is used for short-term treatment of moderate pain and fever when oral administration is not possible. Lidocaine HCl is included to reduce pain at the injection site.

Direction

Adults: Administer by intramuscular injection as directed by a physician. Dosage and frequency should be determined by the treating physician based on severity of pain or fever. Not for self-administration.

Side effects

• Hepatotoxicity with overdose or in patients with liver disease.
• Rare: hypersensitivity reactions including rash or anaphylaxis.

• cardiac effects at high doses.

Precautions

• Must be administered by a qualified healthcare professional.
• Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to paracetamol or lidocaine.
• Use with caution in patients with hepatic impairment or chronic alcoholism.
• Do not exceed maximum daily dose of paracetamol (4 g/day in adults).
• Avoid concurrent use with other paracetamol
• containing products.
• Contraindicated in patients with heart conduction disorders (due to lidocaine).
• Keep out of reach of children.
