Difelene 50 mg

Indication

Used for the treatment of pain and inflammation in musculoskeletal disorders such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and for the treatment of acute gout and post-surgical pain.

Ingredients

• Diclofenac Sodium

Direction

Adults: 50 mg 2–3 times daily with food. Maximum 150 mg per day. Take with food or milk to reduce gastric irritation. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration.

Side effects

• Common: nausea
• abdominal pain
• indigestion
• diarrhea.
• Common: headache
• dizziness.
• Rare: GI bleeding or perforation
• peptic ulceration.
• Rare: hepatotoxicity
• renal impairment.
• Rare: serious skin reactions.

Precautions

• Contraindicated in patients with NSAID or aspirin hypersensitivity.
• Avoid in patients with active peptic ulcer disease or GI bleeding.
• Use with caution in patients with cardiovascular
• renal
• or hepatic disease.
• Avoid use in the third trimester of pregnancy.
• May increase risk of serious cardiovascular thrombotic events.
• Keep out of reach of children.
