Indication
NHU-C8 CLOZOL-3 is a triple-combination topical cream containing Clotrimazole (antifungal), Betamethasone Dipropionate (corticosteroid), and Gentamicin Sulfate (antibiotic). It is used to treat skin conditions complicated by mixed fungal, bacterial, and inflammatory components, such as infected eczema, tinea infections with secondary bacterial infection, and seborrhoeic dermatitis.
Ingredients
- Clotrimazole
- Betamethasone Dipropionate
- Gentamicin sulfate
Direction
Adults: Apply a thin layer to the affected skin area two to three times daily. Do not cover with occlusive dressings unless directed by a physician. Avoid contact with eyes. Wash hands before and after application. Duration of treatment should be limited to the shortest necessary period.
Side effects
- Local burning
- itching
- or irritation at application site
- Skin atrophy
- striae
- or telangiectasia with prolonged corticosteroid use
- Hyperpigmentation or depigmentation
- Allergic contact dermatitis
- Risk of secondary superinfections
- Systemic corticosteroid effects with extensive or prolonged use (rare)
Precautions
- For external use only.
- Do not use on the face
- groin
- or axillae for extended periods.
- Avoid prolonged use
- especially in children
- due to risk of adrenal suppression from the corticosteroid component.
- Do not use in viral skin infections (e.g.
- herpes
- chickenpox)
- rosacea
- or acne.
- Do not use near the eyes.
- Contraindicated in hypersensitivity to any component.
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding: use only under medical supervision.
- Occlusive dressings increase systemic absorption of betamethasone.
- Keep out of reach of children.
