Ficyc Cream 5% w/w

Indication

An antiviral cream used for the treatment of herpes simplex virus (HSV) infections of the skin, including cold sores (herpes labialis) and genital herpes (initial or recurrent episodes).

Ingredients

• Aciclovir

Direction

Apply to the affected area 5 times daily at approximately 4-hour intervals (omitting the night-time application) for 5 days. Start treatment as early as possible at first sign of infection. Wash hands before and after use.

Side effects

• Transient burning or stinging on application.
• Dryness or flaking of skin.
• Erythema.
• Allergic contact dermatitis (rare).

Precautions

• For external use only.
• Avoid contact with the eyes
• mouth
• or mucous membranes.
• Not for use on mucous membranes.
• Do not apply to internal genital mucosa.
• Consult a doctor if no improvement after 5 days.
• Keep out of reach of children.
