Indication

Paracetamol (acetaminophen) is used for the relief of mild to moderate pain such as headache, toothache, and muscle ache, and for the reduction of fever.

Direction

Children (based on 325 mg/1.5 g sachet): Dose is based on weight and age as directed by a physician or pharmacist. Typically one sachet dissolved in water. Doses may be repeated every 4–6 hours as needed. Do not exceed 5 doses in 24 hours.

Side effects

• Rare at therapeutic doses.
• Skin rash
• urticaria (rare hypersensitivity).
• Liver damage in case of overdose.

Precautions

• Do not exceed the recommended dose.
• Do not use with other paracetamol
• containing products.
• Use with caution in patients with hepatic impairment or chronic alcohol use.
• Seek medical advice if fever persists for more than 3 days or pain for more than 5 days.
• Keep out of reach of children.
