Indication
Ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) is used for the prevention and treatment of scurvy, and as a nutritional supplement to support immune function and collagen synthesis.
Ingredients

Direction
Adults and children over 12 years: 25β200 mg daily (therapeutic dose as directed by physician). Children: as directed by a physician. Take orally with or without food.
Side effects
- Gastrointestinal disturbances (nausea
- diarrhea) at high doses.
- Kidney stones with prolonged high
- dose use.
- Headache (rare).
Precautions
- High doses may cause gastrointestinal upset.
- Use with caution in patients with renal stones (increased risk of oxalate stones at high doses).
- Patients with glucose
- 6
- phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency should use with caution.
- Keep out of reach of children.
