Indication

NHU-D8 Diffelene (Adapalene 0.1% gel/cream, 15 g) is a topical retinoid used for the treatment of mild to moderate acne vulgaris. It normalises follicular keratinisation, reduces comedone formation, and has anti-inflammatory properties.

Direction

Adults and adolescents: Apply a thin layer to the affected skin area once daily at bedtime, after cleansing and drying the face. Avoid the eyes, lips, and mucous membranes. Use a sunscreen during the day as adapalene increases photosensitivity.

• Worsening of acne in the initial weeks (purging phase)

Precautions

• Avoid contact with eyes
• lips
• and mucous membranes.
• Do not apply to sunburned
• eczematous
• or broken skin.
• Increased sensitivity to sunlight
• apply sunscreen and limit UV exposure.
• Initial dryness

• or peeling may occur
• reduce frequency if severe.
• Contraindicated during pregnancy (retinoid — teratogenic risk).
• Do not use with other retinoids concurrently.
• Keep out of reach of children.
