Indication

MediTears (Dextran 70 + Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose/Hypromellose) is an artificial tear solution used as an ophthalmic lubricant to relieve dryness, irritation, and discomfort of the eyes due to dry eye syndrome, environmental conditions, or contact lens wear.

Ingredients

• Dextran 70
• Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose

Direction

Instil 1–2 drops into the affected eye(s) 3–4 times daily as needed, or as directed by a physician or optometrist. Remove contact lenses before instillation; wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting.

Side effects

• Generally well tolerated.
• Uncommon: transient mild stinging or blurred vision upon instillation.
• Rare: hypersensitivity reactions.

Precautions

• For ophthalmic use only
• do not inject.
• Discontinue use and consult a doctor if eye pain
• vision changes
• or persistent redness occur.
• Check preservative content — may not be suitable for contact lens users if preserved.
• Do not use if solution is cloudy or discoloured.
• Keep out of reach of children.
