Calvit-D 500 mg + 200 IU

Indication

Treatment and prevention of calcium deficiency states: rickets, growth phase in children, osteoporosis in the elderly, pregnant or breast-feeding women.

Ingredients

• Calcium gluconate
• Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol)

Direction

Adults: oral dose of 1 tablet twice daily. Children: oral dose of 1 tablet once to twice daily. Treatment of rickets in children: oral dose of 2 tablets twice daily. Treatment of osteoporosis in adults: oral dose of 2 tablets x 3 times daily. Or as directed by the physician.

Side effects

• Constipation.
• Nausea or stomach upset.
• Hypercalcaemia with prolonged high
• dose use (rare).
• Kidney stones with excessive intake (rare).

Precautions

• Hypersensitivity to any components of the drug.
• Impaired renal function.
• Hypercalcaemia
• hypercalciuria.
• Vitamin D poisoning.
• Keep out of reach of children.
