Indication
Treatment of protozoal and anaerobic bacterial infections including amoebiasis and giardiasis.
Ingredients
- Metronidazole Benzoate equivalent to Metronidazole 200 mg (per 5 mL)
Direction
As directed by the physician. Shake well before use.
Side effects
- Nausea
- vomiting
- and metallic taste.
- Diarrhea or abdominal cramping.
- Headache or dizziness.
- Peripheral neuropathy with prolonged use.
- Dark discolouration of urine (harmless).
- Avoid alcohol during and for 48 hours after treatment (disulfiram
- like reaction).
- Rarely: seizures
- leukopenia.
Precautions
- Store in a cool place below 30Β°C.
- Protect from light.
- Shake well before use.
