Indication
Adrenocorticoid steroid with glucocorticoid and anti-inflammatory properties. Used for inflammatory conditions, allergic disorders, autoimmune diseases, and other conditions where corticosteroid therapy is indicated.
Ingredients
- Prednisolone 5 mg
Direction
Take as directed by a physician. Swallow with water. Do not stop taking abruptly without medical advice.
Side effects
- Increased appetite and weight gain
- Mood changes including irritability or depression
- Insomnia
- Increased blood pressure
- Risk of infection due to immunosuppression
- Osteoporosis with long
- term use
- Cushingoid features with prolonged use
Precautions
- Use only under medical supervision
- Do not use in active infections without appropriate antimicrobial cover
- Monitor blood pressure and blood glucose regularly
- Do not stop treatment abruptly
