Empiget 25 mg

Indication

Empiget 25 mg is used to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Empagliflozin is a sodium-glucose co-transporter-2 (SGLT2) inhibitor that works by causing the kidneys to remove sugar from the body through urine.

Ingredients

• Empagliflozin 25 mg

Direction

Take as directed by a physician, usually 25 mg once daily orally with or without food.

Side effects

• Urinary tract infections
• Genital mycotic infections
• Increased urination
• Hypoglycemia (when combined with insulin or sulfonylureas)
• Stop use and consult a physician if unusual reactions occur.

Precautions

• Prescription medicine — use only under medical supervision.
• Not for use in type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis.
