Indication
Enclot 500 contains Tranexamic Acid, an antifibrinolytic agent used to treat or prevent excessive bleeding including menorrhagia (heavy menstrual bleeding), and bleeding after surgery or trauma.
Ingredients
- Tranexamic Acid 500 mg
Direction
Dosage is as directed by a physician. Typically 1β1.5 g (2β3 capsules) orally two to three times daily for up to 4 days for menorrhagia. Do not exceed the prescribed dose.
Side effects
- Nausea
- vomiting
- diarrhea
- Dizziness
- Thromboembolic events (rare)
- Stop use and consult a physician if unusual reactions occur.
Precautions
- Prescription medicine β use only under medical supervision.
- Contraindicated in patients with a history of thromboembolic disease.
- Use with caution in patients with renal impairment.
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use if you are unsure about suitability.
