Cefiget DS 200 mg / 5 mL

Indication

Cefixime DS is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic indicated for the treatment of infections caused by susceptible organisms, including otitis media, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, acute bronchitis, acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis, uncomplicated urinary tract infections, and uncomplicated gonorrhoea.

Ingredients

• Cefixime USP 200 mg per 5 mL (as Cefixime trihydrate)

Direction

Fill previously boiled and cooled water up to the mark on the bottle and shake vigorously. Shake well before use. The reconstituted suspension can be used for up to 7 days at room temperature and up to 14 days when refrigerated. Keep tightly closed after use. As directed by the physician.

Precautions

• Keep out of reach of children.
• Inform physician of any allergy to cephalosporins or penicillins.
• Use with caution in patients with renal impairment.
