Indication
Tetracycline-class antibiotic for treatment of brucellosis, pasteurellosis, pulmonary and genitourinary infections due to mycoplasma or chlamydia, ophthalmic chlamydial infections, ENT infections, treponematoses, cholera, and acne.
Ingredients
- Tetracycline (as hydrochloride) 500 mg
Direction
Adults: 1.5 to 2 g per day, taken outside meals in 2 to 4 regularly spaced doses. Children over 8 years: 50 mg/kg/day. Follow the prescribed doses.
Side effects
- Gastrointestinal upset (nausea
- vomiting
- diarrhoea)
- Photosensitivity
- Tooth discoloration in children under 8 years and during pregnancy
Precautions
- Contraindicated: hypersensitivity to tetracycline
- children under 8 years
- pregnancy and breastfeeding
- Keep out of reach of children
- Store below 30°C
- protect from light and humidity
