Indication
- Short-term symptomatic treatment of anxiety in adults - Management of vertigo - Adjunct treatment in certain psychotic and behavioural disorders
Ingredients
- Sulpiride 50 mg
Direction
Take orally as prescribed; for anxiety, typically 50 mg two to three times daily; dose and duration set by the physician.
Side effects
- Drowsiness and sedation
- Extrapyramidal symptoms (tremor
- stiffness)
- Increased prolactin (galactorrhoea
- menstrual changes)
- Weight gain
- Dry mouth
Precautions
- Contraindicated in pheochromocytoma and prolactin
- dependent tumours
- Use with caution in epilepsy
- Parkinson's disease and renal impairment
- May prolong the QT interval
- caution with cardiac risk
- Avoid alcohol
- may impair driving ability
