Gaviscon 500 mg + 267 mg / 10 mL

Indication

- Heartburn and acid reflux - Gastro-oesophageal reflux symptoms - Acid indigestion, including after meals or during pregnancy

Ingredients

• Sodium alginate 500 mg + sodium bicarbonate 267 mg per 10 mL

Direction

Adults and children over 12: take 10-20 mL after meals and at bedtime, up to four times daily. Shake well before use.

Side effects

• Generally well tolerated
• Rare allergic reactions (e.g. urticaria
• bronchospasm)
• Bloating or abdominal distension

Precautions

• Contains sodium
• caution in patients on a low
• sodium diet or with heart/kidney disease
• Leave a 2
• hour gap from other medicines
• as absorption may be reduced
• Consult a doctor if symptoms persist beyond 7 days
