Indication
- Acute bacterial diarrhea - Intestinal infections without systemic signs - Symptomatic treatment of colitis of infectious origin
Ingredients
- Nifuroxazide 200 mg/5 mL
Direction
Children and adults take orally as directed by a physician, typically several times daily for a short course. Shake well before use.
Side effects
- Mild abdominal pain
- Nausea
- Allergic skin reactions (rare)
Precautions
- Maintain rehydration (oral or IV) during diarrhea
- Not a substitute for rehydration therapy
- Do not use in patients allergic to nitrofuran derivatives
- Consult a doctor if symptoms persist beyond 3 days
