Indication
- Schizophrenia - Bipolar disorder (manic and depressive episodes) - Add-on treatment of major depressive disorder
Ingredients
- Quetiapine 100 mg
Direction
Take by mouth as directed by the prescriber, usually once or twice daily. Dose is titrated gradually; do not stop abruptly.
Side effects
- Drowsiness and dizziness
- Dry mouth
- Weight gain
- Constipation
- Low blood pressure on standing
Precautions
- May cause drowsiness
- avoid driving until response is known
- Risk of weight gain
- raised blood sugar and lipids
- May cause dizziness on standing (low blood pressure)
- Use caution in elderly patients with dementia
