Fluocinonide Ointment (Frostlike) 10 g tube containing 2.5 mg Fluocinonide (0.025%)

Indication

Corticosteroid for topical use. Applied to allergic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, seborrheic dermatitis, eczema and other steroid-responsive skin disorders.

Ingredients

• Fluocinonide acetate 2.5 mg per 10 g tube (0.025% w/w)

Direction

Apply to the affected part of the body 2-3 times daily. The total amount used should not exceed 50 g weekly.

Side effects

• Burning
• itching
• dryness or stinging at the application site.
• Skin atrophy
• telangiectasia (dilated blood vessels)
• striae
• or hypopigmentation with prolonged use.
• Acne
• like eruptions
• folliculitis or perioral dermatitis.
• Allergic contact dermatitis
• stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if a reaction occurs.

Precautions

• For external use only.
• Long
• term use can cause skin atrophy and dilatation of blood capillaries.
• Do not exceed 50 g per week.
• Avoid use on the face
• broken skin
• or large body areas unless directed by a doctor.
• Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use
• especially during pregnancy or in children
• and stop use if irritation or allergy occurs.
