Indication
Treatment of confirmed magnesium deficiency, isolated or associated. Symptoms suggestive of magnesium deficiency include nervousness, irritability, mild anxiety, transient fatigue, minor sleep disturbances, muscle cramps and tingling.
Ingredients
- Magnesium lactate dihydrate
- Pyridoxine hydrochloride (Vitamin B6)
Direction
Adults: 6 tablets daily in 2 or 3 divided doses. Children over 6 years: 4 tablets daily in 2 or 3 divided doses. Take with a glass of water during meals. Treatment should not normally exceed 1 month. See enclosed leaflet for details.
Side effects
- Possible diarrhoea or abdominal pain.
- Nausea
- vomiting.
- Rarely
- allergic skin reactions.
- Stop and consult a doctor or pharmacist if any unusual or severe reaction occurs.
Precautions
- Do not use in case of severe renal impairment.
- Use with caution in moderate renal impairment due to risk of hypermagnesaemia.
- Avoid concomitant use with high
- dose phosphate or calcium salts that may reduce magnesium absorption.
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use
- especially if pregnant
- breastfeeding
- or taking other medications.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Stop and seek medical advice if irritation or allergy occurs.
