Indication
Mucolytic agent for the treatment of respiratory disorders associated with viscid or excessive mucus, including productive cough, bronchitis, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
Ingredients
- Bromhexine Hydrochloride BP 4 mg per 2 ml
- Water for Injections BP q.s.
Direction
For IM, IV or subcutaneous use. Dosage as directed by the physician. Do not use the injection if it contains any suspended visible particles.
Side effects
- Nausea
- vomiting
- diarrhoea or abdominal discomfort.
- Headache
- dizziness or sweating.
- Skin rash
- pruritus or other hypersensitivity reactions.
- Pain at the injection site
- stop use and consult a doctor or pharmacist if a reaction occurs.
Precautions
- Prescription drug
- use only under medical supervision.
- Do not use if hypersensitive to bromhexine or any other component.
- Use with caution in patients with peptic ulcer
- asthma
- or impaired renal/hepatic function.
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use
- especially during pregnancy or breastfeeding
- and stop if irritation or allergy occurs.
